How to enable Read Receipts on Android, iOS and other messengers
In case, if you've sent important text messages, and the recipient doesn't reply at all, you might get all curious to know whether that the recipient has read it or ignoring you or they are actually busy with work.
If the message is a casual one, it's not a problem at all, but if the matter of the text message is urgent, then you might find this to be a problem. However, there are methods to check the status of a message. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
Step 1: Open Settings in your phone
Step 2: Go to Messages
Step 3: Once you find the 'Send Read Receipts', turn on the toggle switch.
This method doesn't work if the recipient has Android or Windows mobile for that matter.
Step 1: Open text message app.
Step 2: Go to Settings -> Text Messages.
Step 3: Turn off Read Receipts. Additionally, you can also turn Deliver Receipts on or off as well.

Step 2: Head on to Settings
Step 3: Go to Account -> Privacy
Step 4: Now uncheck the Read Receipts.

Checking message status in iOS device
This method works when the message recipient has read receipts enabled and both of them need to be using iPhone iMessage. Below is the method to turn on the read receipts from your iPhone.Step 1: Open Settings in your phone

Checking message status on Android device
Similar to the iOS device, Android also comes with read receipts option. In terms of method, it is same as iMessage as sender needs to have same texting app as the recipient whose 'read receipts' is enabled on their phone already. The process might vary slightly according to the handset maker. But generally it looks like this:Step 1: Open text message app.
Step 2: Go to Settings -> Text Messages.
Step 3: Turn off Read Receipts. Additionally, you can also turn Deliver Receipts on or off as well.
